This was Waters’ first time producing Syds solo sessions. David Gilmour produced the session together with Roger Waters. This day was the final recording session for “The Madcap Laughs”. “She took a long cool look” was recorded on the morning of Saturday 26th of July 1969 at Abbey Road Studio 2. David does state in the book that some of the lyrics are impossible to decipher properly so there may be argument over this. David Gilmour felt that ‘ She took a long cool look’ was more accurate and that is the version they are using.
The Syd Barrett Official YouTube channel has posted a new lyric video from animator Artist on the Border commemorating 10,000 followers on the Official Syd Barrett Instagram “She Took A Long Cool Look” takes it new name from the creation of the official lyric book.
